My name is Andrew Ortyn and I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO.
I come from a family of four. My mom was the best school teacher in St. Louis for thirty years before she retired and my dad is the hardest working financial advisor in the game. My parents have recently moved to Sheboygan, WI to be closer to family.

My older sister and I attended Lafayette High School together. She participated on the dance team while I played on the soccer and lacrosse teams.

After high school, my sister went on to study advertisement at the University of Oklahoma and now works as a manager at a large real estate firm in Austin, TX. I went on to study business administration at the University of Missouri where I became involved in a number of organizations on campus such as Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity, the MU Asian Affairs Center, and Habitat for Humanity.
Upon graduating college in three and a half years, I was selected out of hundreds of applicants nationwide for the United States Navy's Officer Candidate School. There I was pushed to my limits and trained to become a leader and a Naval Officer. I was one of the 30% who was able to complete the program in the minimum twelve weeks that is required and graduated with class 12-18 Bravo Company. Unfortunately, three weeks after my graduation I was found medically disqualified from aviation.
This brings me to where I am today as I search for a great career.
